We understand that the Obama White House is in a bit of panic these days.
They can't buy any good news or get any good polling information!
Gallup has Republicans up by 10 in the generic ballot! The RCP average has Republicans up by 5!
Dems seeking reelection are treating "hope and change" like something to avoid at all costs.
They are also running away from the Arizona lawsuit, the mosque in NY City and specially BO-Care!
Unfortunately, Mexico is undergoing a frightening wave of violence AND the Obama administration looks totally disconnected from the crisis south of the border.
Is anybody in the Obama White House checking with the US Ambassador in Mexico City or watching the Univision Mexico reports every night?
Just yesterday, bombs killed people at a Cancun bar.
We don't know if these bombs were cartel related. At the same time, who else but cartels throw bombs into crowds and kill people?
Not long ago, 72 bodies were found just south of Texas!
This is alarming because of the cartels' brutality.
What do you call people who murder 72 people?
I call them brutal terrorists or the same kind that we've putting out of existence in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Beyond the brutality, it also confirms that Mexico can not control its territory.
It is obvious that people are walking through Mexico and getting to our border.
We understand that most of these people are Central Americans looking for work in the US.
At the same, why wouldn't Al Qaeda terrorists walk though Mexico, too?
Why wouldn't Al Qaeda try to do it? They have the cash and the cartels have the routes!
In Monterrey, one of the great industrial centers of Latin America, the violence is also getting alarming.
We saw this about Monterrey:
"U.S. State Department officials there were told to evacuate their children after a private school came in harm's way amid signs the drug cartels now have control of the city." (Thomasson)
Like many others, I've been to Monterrey a dozen times. It is one of the great cities of Mexico.
It is now another casualty of Pres BO's lack of interest in protecting and securing the US-Mexico border.
What is the Obama White House doing to help Mexico or to make us feel secure in the border states?
The answer is nothing!
Yesterday, Pres BO refused to meet with Gov Perry during the trip to Ft Bliss in El Paso, TX.
What does Gov Perry want? He wants troops on the US-Mexico border!
Worse than that, Pres BO refuses to acknowledge that there is a huge problem brewing down in Mexico.
Here is the bottom line: Mexico desperately needs our help.
We need a dual mission.
We seal our border and stop guns going south and drugs going north.
We provide the Mexican military more weapons and expand The Merida Plan.
What's the problem?
We need a president who can find Mexico in the map!
P.S. Someone needs to send Pres BO a copy of an editorial in The Dallas Morning News:
"American policymakers are naïve to think that Mexico can handle this challenge alone."
