Is "Yesterday" the greatest Lennon-McCartney song?
I don't know but it should be one of the finalists.
"Yesterday" was released 45 years ago this month.
The B-side was "Act Naturally", an old country song and Ringo doing the lead vocals.
"Yesterday" is the closest thing to a Paul McCartney solo that the group ever recorded. It was Paul, a guitar and strings!
In the UK, the song was included in the "Help" album.
In the US, it was included in the "Yesterday and Today" album released between "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver".
I think that these three albums were the best recorded by The Beatles!
