Yes, it's all of that rain in September.
This is from The Dallas Morning News and tonight's forecast:
"Mostly cloudy.
Showers and thunderstorms possible in the evening...but more likely after midnight.
Lows around 70.
Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph shifting to the east after midnight. Chance of rain 60 percent."
I like the "lows around 70" part of that forecast!
This rain reminds me of a great "rain song" called "Rainy Day".
It was originally recorded by The Rascals but this is a very nice version by Keonepax. He has a bunch of great arrangements in YouTube!
I am cheating a bit because this song is about "spring rain"!
It's a great song anyway.
We will file this one under "rain songs" and "people who get romantic when it rains":
"Most everyone remembers a special season
As for mine, I have the perfect reason
Spring is my season I think my reason is because
spring is full of rainy, rainy days
A rainy day the perfect time for romance
A rainy day the perfect time for romance and you
Curtains of raindrops falling People in doorways stalling
Strange faces brought together chased in by stormy weather
Meeting a lovely face So beautifully wrapped in lace
Made me much more aware the rain was there to bring her near me
A Rainy day.....
Suddenly, we start walking Feeling no need for talking
Meeting her eyes of splendor She smiles and I surrender
Hardly can keep from knowing Just by the way she's glowing
We're both out in the rain We kiss and then I hold her near me
A Rainy day.....
I would be so contented If all of my time was spent with
Knowing that she'd be there So I could care and keep her near me
A Rainy day.....
And you....
I love walking in the rain.....
I'll take my every morning
from a dream of peace and love
We'll share each day, be it rain or shine together"
