We just learned that The Oval Office was refurbished during Pres BO's vacation.
To be honest, I believe that we need a president with a nice office, airplane and home.
Here is the question: Is this a good time for the US government to spend "whatever" in changing the rugs or furniture in The Oval Office?
The answer is no.
Here is a better question: What political genius at the Obama White House approved such an expenditure when US companies are laying off people and US voters are unemployed?
Also, please don't tell me that it was "in the budget"!
We are running a budget deficit of US$ 1.4 trillion, or 10% of GDP.
Also, please don't tell me that "Bush did it"!
Pres Bush's federal budget deficits were 2-3% of GDP, a completely manageable figure!
We ask again: Why did they do it?
The answer is we have a president who is tone deaf!
We saw the same "tone-deafness" when The First Lady took her trip to Spain.
Again, who is telling Pres BO what he does not want to hear?
I don't know......but he is going to hear a lot of what he does not want to hear on the first Tuesday in November!
