Who is giving the Obamas advice on travel plans?

We stay away from criticisms or attacks on the First Lady in this blog.

Actually, we've praised her elegance and some of the nice work that she's done with children.

However, who told Michelle Obama that this was a good time to rent 40 rooms in a villa in Spain?

Check this out:

"CBS News White House correspondent Mark Knoller reports the C-32A (757) the First Lady used to fly to Spain - one of the planes that usually serves as Air Force Two, and sometimes Air Force One - operates at a Department of Defense reimbursement rate of $11,351 per hour.

So a 6.5 hour flight to Spain would run $73,781.50 - double for the round trip." (CBS)

Again, is anybody listening in this White House?

Wasn't there some resort in Maryland or Virginia for the First Lady & friends to share some "girl time" with?

Again, who is giving these people advice, from rushing health care through to planning their lavish vacations at a time of recession? (New Jobless Benefits Claims Rise to Highest Weekly Level Since April)

Last, but not least, where is the media outrage? Can you imagine what the media would be saying about Mrs Bush doing this with some of her friends from Texas?
