
First, we will finish combat operations in Iraq. (Frankly, we have not been in a combat mode for almost two years! In other words, the surge worked!)
Second, we will keep a significant force behind just like we did in Korea or Europe in WW2. (This force will project our power and defend our interests whenever necessary)
As we posted before, we are pleased that Pres BO completed the agreement signed by Pres Bush in December '08.
We remind you that Iraq is still a work in progress. However, I am optimistic that Iraq is on its way to stability.
At the end of the day, we salute US troops for their amazing work in Iraq.
Politically speaking, isn't it ironic that the anti-war candidate ended up putting the exclamation point on Pres Bush's policy.
Where would be today if we had followed what then Sen BO recommended in 2007?
The answer is simple: We would not be removing troops from Iraq!
