A few days ago, Sen Reid made those stupid comments about Hispanics and Republicans.
Today, we learned that Sen Reid is the latest Dem hypocrite on Hispanic issues.
It turns out that Sen Reid proposed this back in 1993:
"Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, Nevada Democrat, once supported revising the current interpretation of the birthright citizenship clause in 1993.
Mr. Reid introduced a bill to the Senate Judiciary Committee as the Immigration Stabilization Act of 1993.
The bill, which died in committee after it was referred to the Subcommittee on Immigration and Refugee Affairs, includes tough immigration provisions that would make many wonder where Mr. Reid truly stands on the immigration and border debate." (Pricket)
Where does Sen Reid stand on immigration reform and Hispanic issues?
It depends how desperate he is to get reelected!
Back in 1993, when he was a first term US Senator facing a tough reelection, Sen Reid was all about being "tough" on illegal immigration.
Today, Sen Reid faces another tough reelection. However, he desperately needs "hispanos" this time around! (Angle, Reid race still tight)
Wonder if anyone in the media will challenge this obvious case of hypocrisy?
Better question: How will Sen Reid explain this one to his supporters?
