What politically correct genius came up with this one?
What exactly are we to prove to the world by allowing a mosque this close to the place where 3,000 were killed a few years ago?
Are we supposed to prove to the world that the US is tolerant of other religions?
Don't we prove that every day? Don't millions of Muslims in the US attend religious services across the country?
This is not a religious tolerance issue. This is about respecting the sensitivities of the families who lost their husbands, wives, brothers and sisters, sons and daughters, etc.
This is also about some of the characters behind this mosque. Who are they? Have they publicly condemned the murder of 3,000 people?
And this is about location!
Charles Krauthammer is right about location:
"Location matters.

Ground Zero is the site of the greatest mass murder in American history -- perpetrated by Muslims of a particular Islamist orthodoxy in whose cause they died and in whose name they killed."
And he finds himself making life very difficult for Dems running for office this fall. Check out former Texas Rep Martin Frost:
"....it will not play well in the parts of the country where Democrats need the most help."
