End the Bush tax cuts? Another campaign promise that sounded so good in front of 18-year olds screaming "yes we can"!

Don't you love going back and reading what candidate BO said during the campaign?

Pres BO now faces another one of those "reality" moments:

"Unless Congress acts, big tax cuts enacted in 2001 and 2003 during George Bush’s presidency will expire at the end of the year." (FT)

Like so many of BO's promises, attacking the Bush tax cuts was something that "the 18-year olds" were happy to hear.

Worse than that, it was a promise that went unchallenged by a media totally caught up in the "historic" aspect of BO's candidacy.

All of that is over now.

We are now facing the reality that businessmen don't want to invest or hire.

How do you get these businessmen to invest and hire?

Pres BO needs to break another campaign promise and the sooner the better!

Yes, it will generate more anger in the liberal blogsphere but governing is different than giving speeches before "18-year olds" screaming "yes we can"!
