Dear Sen Reid: I'm surprised that any Hispanic votes for you!

Here is what Sen Reid said:

"While campaigning in Nevada Tuesday, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid told an audience of mostly Hispanic voters:

"I don't know how anyone of Hispanic heritage could be a Republican, okay.

Do I need to say more?""

Sen Reid's remarks show how desperate the Dems are about getting their base out to vote in November.

Ironically, Sen Reid's remarks came on the same day that we saw this headline: Hispanic media turn on President Obama

"Univision’s Jorge Ramos, an anchor on the nation’s largest Spanish-language television network, says Obama broke his promise to produce an immigration reform bill within a year of taking office.

And Latinos are tired of the speeches, disillusioned by the lack of White House leadership and distrustful of the president."

It goes beyond Ramos:

"La Opinion, the country’s largest Spanish-language daily newspaper, titled its editorial, “Words are not enough.”

“Obama came up short,” wrote Andres Oppenheimer, a columnist for El Nuevo Herald and The Miami Herald.

“Cheap and easy rhetoric,” La Opinion contributor Jorge Delgado concluded."

Like the left furious over GITMO, Iraq and Afghanistan, "hispanos" are simply angry over promises made but not kept.

Here is the bottom line: Pres BO has not even submitted an immigration proposal to Congress!

Do you understand why Sen Reid is out making dumb and stupid statements?

The Dem party is scared to death that "hispanos" will stay home in November.

If they do, and all indications are that they will, then Sen Reid will lose on the first Tuesday of November!

P.S. Check this out from RCP and Gallup:

"Republicans also maintain a 16-point edge over Democrats in the "enthusiasm" measurement.

Forty-four percent (44%) of Republicans consider themselves "very enthusiastic" about voting in the midterm elections, while only 28 percent of Democrats consider themselves "very enthusiastic" about voting.

This suggests that if Gallup were to employ a tight likely voter screen, the electorate would show an even more pronounced tilt toward Republicans."

We are not popping champagne 75 days before election day. However, I understand why Pres BO & Sen Reid are acting so desperately!
