A "sanctuary city" is a city violating federal law.
In 1996, Pres Clinton made them illegal:

Wonder if any of the self-appointed "hispano" leaders will call Pres Clinton a "racista"?
Why is Pres BO & AG Holder going after Arizona and skipping cities like San Francisco?
Let me try this: Arizona voted for McCain and San Francisco is the most liberal city in the country!
Beyond political calculations, we need a president who will enforce all of our immigration laws.
And we need a federal government that will go after those cities that have created their own immigration "departments'!
