Another poll and more evidence that the country is more and more skeptical about Pres BO:
"The latest Washington Post/ABC News poll finds that nearly six out of ten voters lack faith that President Obama will make the right decisions for the country.
Moreover, two-thirds of voters say they are dissatisfied with or angry about the way the federal government is working." (PowerLine)
It does not get better at the CBS poll:
CBS SHOCK POLL: 13% believe President's policies have helped them...
What went wrong?
First, it starts with Pres BO, a man with no executive experience surrounded by a bunch of "Chicago-ans" who had never run anything either.
They all have "PhD's in blaming Bush" but blank resumes on running things!
Second, Pres BO did not stand up to Speaker Pelosi when she forced him to pass a stimulus that had nothing to do with stimulating the US economy.
He looked weak by letting Nancy Pelosi write a US$ 787 billion stimulus that was about taking care of the public sector unions rather than creating jobs!
Third, Pres BO did not understand that jobs rather health care was the top priority in 2009.
Fourth, and most important, Pres BO has a credibility problem. Check out Roger Simon:
"No one pays attention to him.
The vaunted Demosthenes of the campaign trail disappeared literally upon inauguration.
He hasn’t been able to convince anyone of anything.
He only succeeds when he acts purely as a bully, muscling through legislation."
Who would have believed this when they were irrationally jumping and saying "yes we can"?
On second thought, perhaps it was predictable.
I recall posting this article by Professor Ajami during the last two weeks of the 2008 campaign:
"The morning after the election, the disappointment will begin to settle upon the Obama crowd.
Defeat -- by now unthinkable to the devotees -- will bring heartbreak.
Victory will steadily deliver the sobering verdict that our troubles won't be solved by a leader's magic."
The professor turned out to be prophetic!
