This is Colombia's Independence day. We salute our Colombia friends.
Over the past few years, we've praised Pres. Urbie.
He is one of the most responsible leaders in recent Latin American history.
Frankly, Pres Uribe has a lot to do with Colombia's comeback.
Today, IBD has a great editorial:
"Today, it has the best business environment in Latin America, according to the World Bank. Its stock market is among the world's best-performing. Colombia has taken its place as the "C" in the high-growth CIVETS states.
This year, the country will attract $10 billion in foreign investment, a 400% gain from 2002."
It wasn't easy. Colombia is back and that's a good thing for all!
