
We live in the age of television and instant replays.
So why is FIFA still treating the fans like this is 1920 when most fans did not get to see the game instantly?
As I mentioned in a previous post, I am new to soccer and do not mean to be critical.
I salute the players and, yes, the referees. They are very talented and deserve honest results.
Yesterday, everybody in the world saw England score a rather remarkable goal. (Argentina's goal against Mexico was controversial too!)
Everybody in the world saw the goal except the poor referee on the field.
Clay Travis has a point:
"Sunday's blown goal call in the Germany and England match needs to be a clarion call from this day forth:
The World Cup must have instant replay for all goals or potential goals."
Why not arrange some simple system where teams can protest a goal?
It's about time that FIFA moves to the present! FIFA should strive to get the call right!
