GITMO won't be closing anytime soon!
Why?
Because the Dems won't fund that facility in Illinois!
According to news reports:
"The Senate Armed Services Committee dealt a big setback to President Obama's plans to close the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay when lawmakers stripped funding for a new prison in Illinois to hold the detainees." (WT)
Of course, the Dems were all for closing GITMO when they weren't responsible for defending the nation's security.
It's different now that:
1) they will have to sign the papers releasing the detainees: and,
2) they will have to persuade some city or county to take the terrorists!
Wonder what Pres BO's base will say about this?
