We woke up to some crazy news today.
First, we learned that The Times Square incident may have a foreign connection.
Really? Are you telling me that Bush was right? Are you telling me that the terrorists want to kill Americans or blow up NY City? (Pakistan arrests eight in connection to Times Square attack)
Question # 1: Didn't I hear that the terrorists would go back to coaching Little League soccer once we promised to close GITMO?
Terrorism is back. It's time to take these people as seriously as Bush-Cheney did!
Also, you can forget the KSM trial in NY City or closing GITMO anytime soon!
We also hear criticisms about the Arizona law from Mexico. We hear these criticisms even though the Arizona law does not create or amend our federal immigration laws!
At the same time, Mexico has a PR problem over the treatment of migrants or illegal immigrants.
Amnesty International published a very embarrasing report:
"The Mexican authorities must act to halt the continuing abuse of migrants who are preyed on by criminal gangs while public officials turn a blind eye or even play an active part in kidnappings, rapes and murders, Amnesty International said in a new report released on Tuesday." (AI)
I can tell you that I've heard some "Central American horror stories" crossing Mexico!
Here is the truth: Mexico does not an Arizona problem!
Mexico has a "prosperity" problem! It is incredible that Mexico has to send millions north to look for work.
Mexico needs to change. It needs to reform its economy, specially the energy and agricultural sectors that could create all of those jobs that the country needs.
At the same time, Arizona has become a pleasant distraction for Pres BO and the Dems.
During the campaign, candidate BO promised to do something about immigration reform in year 1.
This is May of year 2 and there is not even a proposal before Congress.
Arizona is a distraction for Mexico and Pres BO!
Mexico can't create jobs and the Dems over promised during the campaign!
And it is obscene to compare Arizona to Nazi Germany!
Do any of the critics understand what happened to Jews who didn't have papers?
