(My mother as a young woman in Cuba. My parents during their honeymoon!)According to our "family stories", my future mother met my future father when she was a 16-year old beauty in Cuba.
It happened one day when my future father, a young man out of school and starting a bank manager career, visited my future mother's hometown.
It did not take long for my future father to appreciate that she was one awesome 16-year old young woman, a very spirited Cuban girl with blood from Asturias!
My father admits that it was love at first sight!
My mother agrees that she was overwhelmed by her visitor, too.
So the rest is history, as somebody said!
They were married a few years later and here we are wishing her a happy birthday in my blog!
On behalf of my brother, sister, our spouses, the 9 grandchildren, other family & lots of her friends, we wish her another birthday.
