Dear Mexico: Clean up your act before you criticize us!

We like Pres Calderon but his attacks on the Arizona law are getting a bit silly.

First of all, Mexico has very strict immigration laws. (I'm OK with that!)

Worse than that, Mexico has a lousy record in treating those Central Americans who cross its territory to reach the US.

Amnesty International published a rather embarrassing report about Mexico:

"Invisible Victims: Migrants on the Move in Mexico, documents the alarming levels of abuse faced by the tens of thousands of Central American irregular migrants that every year attempt to reach the US by crossing Mexico." (via Mexicodata.info)

By the way, I have spoken with Central Americans who've related horror stories in going through Mexico.

So it's time for Mexico to clean up its act. It's also time to reform its economy so that Mexicans can stay home!
