the Obama administration is getting us ready for a tax increase, specially now that it is clear that our budget deficits are unsustainable.
They want us to adopt a VAT, or a European like value added tax.
James Pethokoukis has a few thoughts on how Pres BO will sell this to the US public.
Frankly, I like a VAT but only if it'd replace our current federal income tax code.
Out with the income tax and in with a VAT.....I will listen to that trade!
However, the anti-tax mood in the country will not tolerate another tax on top of what we are paying now.
