Back in 1993, I took our sons to watch our first NHL hockey game.
It was great and we fell in love with the Stars, hockey and # 9, Mike Modano.
Last night, Modana played his last home game as a Star. And it was quite a performance:
"Modano, who had assisted on the Stars' first goal, scored the tying goal with 1:47 to go in regulation before he and longtime linemate Jere Lehtinen scored the only shootout goals in a 3-2 victory over the Anaheim Ducks." (DallasNews)
And who can forget the standing ovation that went on for minutes? Quite a night!
He will play his last game in Minnesota this weekend!
Modano was a great player and role model in the Dallas area. He leaves a lot of memories.
We wish Mike the best in the next phase of his life:
