The Rangers had a great late inning comeback.
Toronto was up 3-0 and the Rangers looked like they left their bats in spring training.
In the 7th, Hamilton walked, Vlad singled and Nellie Cruz put a pitch in the Rangers' bullpen.
In the 9th, Michael Young led off with a double. Who else but Michael? We have seen this kind of clutch hitting every year since he joined the major leagues in 2001.
Hamilton struck out on a very controversial pitch.
Vlad hit a ground ball up the middle but Aaron Hill made an incredible stop and Young had to stop at third.
Nellie Cruz singled to right.....game tied.....Salty hit a fly ball to right center and the Rangers won a very exciting game.
Scott Feldman was pretty good over 7 innings but did not get the decision.
Feliz did not look good in relief. He was pitching in the high 90s but the ball did not move!
Oliver came in with the bases loaded and killed a big rally. Toronto 4, Texas 3!
Francisco looked great in relief.
However, the top play of opening day was in Chicago.
Here is the play:
