Even Dallas is getting a bit of that snow:
"Snow continues to fall and will only grow heavier across North Texas today, contributing to what is expected to be the snowiest winter in 25 years.
A winter storm warning was issued for much of North Texas through midnight tonight." (DallasMorningNews)
Of course, this is nothing compared to what the Northeast is getting.
From Washington to Boston, the East Coast is getting record snow:
"The second of back-to-back blizzards that smothered Washington and Philadelphia and eclipsed seasonal snowfall records had tapered off by Thursday, although governments and schools remained closed to contend with the aftermath." (Fox)So where can you go and get some heat and sunshine?
Where else but Rio?
There is no snow down there:
"The worst heatwave to hit Rio de Janeiro in 50 years turned the city into a pre-Carnival furnace Wednesday, and killed 32 elderly people further south, officials said.
According to the Inmet national weather service, recorded temperatures in Rio were well above 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees) -- and felt more like above 50 degrees." (AFP)
So let me propose that we move to Rio and catch a little sunshine.
