It was a great season for 140 games.....then came the other 22!

Before the Cowboys played at 7pm, the Rangers played next door at noon.

By the way, it was parking nightmare to have both teams play on the same day.....they should avoid that in the future.

The Angels put the next to last nail in the Rangers' coffin: Texas Rangers fall deeper in West with 10-5 loss

Texas is 7 games behind LA.

How difficult is it?

If LA goes 7-7 then Texas would have to go 14-0!

So it's over!

Nevertheless, it was a great season for the young Rangers who got a taste of pennant race baseball. (They were 2 games out of the wild card just a week ago!)

It was also a shame that Michael Young got hurt and did not get his 200 hits again!

Ditto Josh Hamilton who battled injuries all season!

However, Texas has the 4th best record in the AL.

Who predicted that in March? Who would have believed all of the great pitching from young starters like Hunter and Holland? or the incredible break out season by Scott Feldman? or Natali Feliz' shut down fast ball?

The Rangers will probably make some roster moves in the off-season.

They need another veteran pitcher to support their young pitchers....they need to make a catching decision....they need to get a righthanded bat to play first or DH from time to time....they must resign Vizquel to continue as Andrus' mentor.

Bottom line: This is a team going in the right direction and we have not said that in years!
