
We have not seen or heard much of Ringo Starr lately.
Nevertheless, we wish him another happy birthday.
Ringo played drums for The Beatles.
He was also the last member to join the band. He replaced Pete Best a bit before the group hit the charts.
I guess Ringo had good timing. He was also very popular.
Lennon and McCartney wrote "Yellow Submarine" and Ringo did the lead vocal. It was his biggest hit as a lead vocalist:
Ringo also did some lead vocals here and there on Beatles' albums. My favorite was "Honey Don't", a great song written by Carl Perkins. In this video, we see pictures of Maureen, his wife:
