"I do the best I can to be optimistic about our nation's future.
But realistically, the current picture is not particularly good."
No it is not! Bad day for the "yes we can" screamers!
Blaming Bush, the other side's favorite pasttime, is starting to sound like a saturated Top 40 song!
Remember Rod Stewart's "Maggie Mae" or Marvin Gaye"s "I heard it through the grapevine".
Weren't they great songs? Didn't you get tired of them after the radio station played them every 10 minutes?
Blaming Bush is old and the polls are starting to show it!
"Too bad for Barack Obama and the Democrats, but George W. Bush is the shrinking man of American politics, growing ever smaller on the far horizon.
Merely invoking his name will soon no longer frighten women and horses.
The not-so-new president has treated his predecessor as his training wheels, invoking his presence every time (which is often) the ground trembles, a dog barks, the wind blows, the rain falls and he threatens to topple over.
We were promised nirvana, or at least a lollipop, if only we could banish George W. and the inept and evil Republicans.
Banish we did, and the messiah from the South Side of Chicago has been practicing miracle-working for five months.
Alas, there's no sign of clearing skies."
Where do we go from here?
It's time for one big BO reversal, i.e. the mother of all broken campaign promises!
Pres BO needs to do a Reagan, or even worse, a GW Bush!
He needs to cut taxes across the board and freeze regulations. BO should direct the "yes we can" screamers to concentrate on Michael Jackson until the economy recovers. BO needs adults not "yes we can" screamers!
BO reversed himself on Iraq and GITMO.
BO needs a big reversal on the economy.
