The Rangers lost game 1, won game 2 and had a 3-run lead in the top of the 9th.
Unfortunately, it was not Frankie Francisco's night. He is usually very reliable.
Nevertheless, Francisco threw a "fat pitch" to Juan Rivera and the game was tied.
In the bottom of the 9th, Young singled and Blalock hit a 400 ft-plus home run to win the game. (Texas 9, LA 7)
It's great to see Blalock hitting home runs again. He is one of my favorite Rangers but has been battling injuries for a couple of years.
It's July 1st and the Rangers are keeping up with the Angels.
I can't wait for pennant race baseball in September. We have not had a lot of that here!
