"Wise Latina" once, "wise Latina" twice?

Like many of you, I was very confused with Sonia Sotomayor's "wise Latina" remarks.

What in the world did she mean?

After all, Sotomayor was not talking at a "Latina mother-in-law conference" or at some Puerto Rican stand up comedy show in the Bronx.

Sotomayor is a judge. We expect better from judges.

Nevertheless, I was willing to give Sotomayor a chance to explain herself and clarify the remarks.

Guess what?

She said the same thing back in 1994! (Goldfarb)

I really need an explanation now.

P.S. Let me repeat my earlier statement.

We need to put Sotomayor behind a microphone and let her answer questions.

Sotomayor's views are a minefield.

A new poll shows that most Americans disapprove of affirmative action and Sotomayor's ruling on the Ricci case.

Again, sit back and let the lady talk!
