We can add the homosexual community to the growing list of disappointed "yes we can" screamers. (Gay activists not impressed with Obama's move)
During the campaign, candidate BO promised to repeal "don't ask don't tell" and The Defense of Marriage Act.
So far, he hasn't. And he won't!
And homosexual leaders are not happy: President Obama fails to quell gay uproar
We understand the homosexuals' disappointment. They were huge supporters. They turned out in huge numbers to get BO over the top in all of those early caucuses. They are not happy today: Obama and The Gays--A Non-Love Story Getting Less Lovely By The Minute!
"Don't ask, don' tell" happened in 1993. It was based on recommendations from military officers, or the people responsible for military discipline and performance.
I trust the officers on this one.
The Defense of Marriage Act goes back to 1996. It was a bill signed by Pres Clinton and protects traditional marriage.
Again, we agree with Pres Obama on these two.
Nevertheless, we understand the disappointment of people who invested their hopes and dreams in someone who was running around telling everyone what they wanted to hear!
