Pres BO signed a "stimulus" plan that was supposed to be "shovel ready" and necessary to get us of the unemployment problem.
Remember the urgency to sign a bill that no one read?
Remember the budget that had a lot of earmarks? (By the way, didn't candidate BO run against earmarks, too!)
So far, the stimulus funds are still in the bank.
The states are finding out that getting federal money is one gigantic bureaucratic nightmare: Bureaucratic gridlock could delay road stimulus money!
Also, they are finding that BO's money favors unions: The Obama administration threatens to rescind billions in stimulus money if Gov. Schwarzenegger and lawmakers do not restore wage cuts to unionized home healthcare workers!
Beyond that, the stimulus has yet to stimulate. It's hard to stimulate when the stimulus plan was intended to care of Dem interest groups, such as the trucking unions, rather than actually help the US economy! (Mark Steyn is right: The stimulus will do nothing for the economy, but it will advance the cause of statism)
