Last night, Bill O'Reilly unloaded on the corrupt NY Times.
We liked it.
Bill was referring to a story about ACORN and the Obama campaign:
What happened?
The NY Times was working on a story last fall connecting the Obama campaign to ACORN, an organization under scrutiny for violating election laws.
Would such a story have changed the election results? No one knows for sure.
Question: Would The NY Times have killed a story connecting the McCain campaign to a group under investigation by 10 states?
I think John Hinderaker, one of the 3 attorneys who run Power Line, nailed it:
"For the New York Times, Republicans are simply the enemy. By October 2008, it was time to circle the wagons." (Killing A Story: How It's Done)
Again, we don't care if The NY Times wants to be a part of the Obama campaign. It's a free country! We do think that they should give up their "press passes" and sit in the partisan section of the plane.
In other words, join the "hope and change" team, jump up and down saying "yes we can" and stop pretending that you are journalists!
Last, but not least, we don't think that Carlos Slim, Mexican businessman, is going to come up with more money to keep The NY Times alive.
Here is the bad news: The NY Times is corrupt and dishonest!
Here is the good news: It is dying and will probably disappear sometime in the next few years!
Even Mr. Slim understands that The NY Times is not worth another "peso"!
Who is going to win this war?
Let's look at the players.
O'Reilly has the largest cable news audience. The NY Times is a shrinking newspaper.
Bet on Bill!
P.S. In case you missed it, here is the video:
