This is interesting:

And then along comes Cheney!
We've said it before.
Let's say it again: Today's Dems are a collection of political cowards who read polls before going to the microphone.
We saw that in March 2003 when they were clashing with each other to support the Iraq War.
Why does Cheney drive them crazy?
First, most Dems are scared to death that Cheney may be right. After all, what happens if we get hit again? More than that, Cheney is well respected on national security matters.
Second, most Dems are jealous that Cheney takes a position and sticks to it no matters what the polls say.
Let's say it again: Cheney understands that leaders have to tell people what they don't want to hear.
You will read a lot about Cheney hurting the Reps. You will read about how unpopular he is.
What you won't hear is a debate about Cheney's case.
Why not? Because the Dems are scared to death that Cheney is telling the truth!
