Who fed the teleprompter this morning?
Who in the world came up with this line?
Did Pres BO really say this:
""We can no longer afford to spend as if deficits don't matter and waste is not our problem," he said.
Did Pres BO really say this:
""We can no longer afford to spend as if deficits don't matter and waste is not our problem," he said.
"We can no longer afford to leave the hard choices for the next budget, the next administration -- or the next generation.""
OK. So why is he submitting a budget that takes our federal budget deficits to historic levels?
Why doesn't Pres BO make the hard choices, such as telling people that the federal free lunch is over? Instead of "hard choices", Pres BO "...has finished scouring the budget — and has found a whopping 0.5% of the budget to trim".
What about that $1.7 trillion deficit in September 2009? And a very likely amount in September 2010?
By 2011, we will be longing for the days when Pres Bush's deficits were 2% of GDP?
