What happens when we learn that he doesn't walk on water?

"For the national media, Barack Obama isn't merely the president of the United States.

He's so much more than that.

Obama is a celebrity, and he and his family are covered that way.

That means there is a heavy focus on the personal, making Obama the first "Entertainment Tonight president."

Add to that the "yes we can" screamers, the most irrational group of people ever to follow a US presidential candidate.

What do you have?

You have a very dangerous thing, i.e. a coming disillusionment!

Jackson Diehl added a little common sense to Obama-mania in A World Of Trouble For Obama:

"Now comes the interesting part: when it starts to become evident that Bush did not create rogue states, terrorist movements, Middle Eastern blood feuds or Russian belligerence -- and that shake-ups in U.S. diplomacy, however enlightened, might not have much impact on them."

Yes, the hard part is just around the corner.

Let's see what happens then!

We have elected a man who thinks that he can move nations with his rhetoric or smile. Worse than that, millions actually believe it!
