Thursday's show: A quick report card on Pres BO

On Thursday, I gave Pres BO a "100 day" report card.

To be fair, I said that "100 day" reports cards were not very significant.

After all, most presidencies are not made or broken in the first 100 days.

We point out again that Pres Carter had very high approval ratings at this time in 1977.

Nevertheless, I gave him these marks:

An F on the war on terror....I just don't think that this administration is serious or understands the risks.

A B-plus over Iraq.....he has implemented the Bush-McCain policy.

A strong B over Afghanistan.....I agree with the idea of sending more troops. I am still furious that Europeans are sitting this one out.

I gave him an "incomplete" for the Middle East, although we must be worried about the situation in Pakistan.

On Mexico, I think that they are getting serious about the border but the "protectionism" worries me. I gave him a C-minus!

On the economy, a big F.

We can not sustain these budget deficits. Sooner or later, something is going to hit the fan and it won't be pretty.

Adryana and I discussed the report card, as well as the situation in Mexico. She also told about the meeting with Michael Steele, RNC Chairman.
