Some great Lennon-McCartney songs!

Over the years, I've rejected most Beatles' covers. However, there are four exceptions.

First, this is Mary Hopkin's version of "In my life":

The second is The Carpenters' "Ticket to ride".

Before they became international superstars, Karen Carpenter played drums. Karen was only 19 when they recorded this song. It was a year before they hit # 1 with "Close to you":

The next two songs are not technically covers. In other words, they were not recorded by The Beatles.

Billy J Kramer & The Dakotas released "From a window", a tune that Lennon-McCartney passed up for their first album:

Peter & Gordon were part of the original Beatles' invasion of the US charts. Peter was Jane's brother, the same Jane who was Paul McCartney's girlfriend at the time. This is "World without love":
