During my time in Baltimore, I used to pick up Phillies' games out of York, PA.
It was fun to listen to the Phillies, specially when they were playing the Cubs in the afternoon. (The Cubs played daytime baseball until 1988!)
I recall hearing the last couple of innings of a division pennant clincher when the Phillies beat Montreal. I think that Mike Schmidt hit a home run in that game.
That's a loss and a shock.
Kalas was one of baseball's premiere broadcasters and the voice of NFL Films.
I'm very sad to hear this!
