Kevin Milwood came here in 2006 to lead the starting rotation. He was good in 2006. He was awful last year because of nagging hamstring injuries.
Milwood looked great today: 7 innings, 5 hits, 1 run and lots of strikes.
Overall, it was a great Opening Day for the Rangers.
They beat Cleveland easily, 9-1.
I understand that this is only game 1 of 162! It's too early to get excited.
However, you have to love the fact that Milwood looks like Milwood again!
P.S. Last, but not least, Pres GW Bush got a huge ovation when he threw the opening pitch. He joined the radio and TV crews later and sounded quite upbeat!
