Does Mexico really know where the guns are coming from?

Are guns made, or purchased in the US, going south?

Yes.

Are 90% of guns coming from the US?

No way!

Allan Wall has been following the Mexico scene for years.

We've had Allan on our radio show a couple of times. His website is located at www.allanwall.net.

"According to William Newell, an ATF Special Agent, during the period of 2007-2008 Mexico sent 11,000 guns to the ATF to be traced.

Of those 11,000 weapons, 6,000 were able to be traced. Of those 6,000, 90% were traced to the U.S.

But those 11,000 guns weren’t the only weapons confiscated in that time period.

In fact, from 2007-2008 Mexican authorities recovered 29,000 guns.

That means that during that time period (2007-2008) 83% of the recovered guns in Mexico were not traced to the U.S.A."

So what's going on?

I think that Mexico is blaming the US because it's easy.

What's the truth? Mexico does not know how all of these guns are getting into Mexico.

Is that scary? Yes it is!

"President Obama says 90 percent of Mexico's recovered crime guns come the U.S.

Not true."
