It's the Euros who didn't follow Pres BO's advice.
We have over 40,000 troops in Afghanistan and 90,000 protecting Europe! Add troops in Korea and Iraq and we are clearly doing our part!
Worse than that, Democrats are now getting a taste of what Pres Bush had to deal with.

The president then came home with no more fighting capacity than when he left.
The European excuse used to be that they hated Bush, the Texas gunslinger.
That's why Germany, France and Spain wouldn't cooperate against villains.

Get ready for the Dems' ultimate nightmare: Unilateral action with little, if any, Euro support.
Actually, we saw this during the Clinton years:
Haiti: Pres Clinton goes in and changes a government;
Bosnia: Pres Clinton can not get a UN resolution and he just goes in under the NATO banner. Again, it's the US doing all of the heavy lifting;
and,
Iraq: Pres Clinton bombs Iraq and claims that the "cease fire" gives him the authority to take whatever action he deems necessary.
There you have it!
Those are 3 of our most recent unilateral uses of military power.
Unlike Pres Clinton, who acted without a UN or US Congress resolution, Pres Bush went to Congress and got votes to support the Afghan and Iraq wars.
Who is really unilateralist?
Don't get me wrong. I supported the last two.
Pres Clinton was right to go into Bosnia and stop ethnic cleansing.
Pres Clinton was right to bomb Iraq after Saddam Hussein kicked out the inspectors and gave the middle finger to the UN.
Why did Pres Clinton have to act unilaterally? Because no one else wants to fight!
Welcome to the real world! The world used Pres Bush as their excuse for not participating. I guess that soon you will see them blaming Pres BO.
