Candidate Joe Biden said this in 2007:
""I think he can be ready, but right now I don't believe he is.
The presidency is not something that lends itself to on-the-job training."
We always did say that Joe Biden was most qualified Dem running for president.
Biden may have a "gaffe" problem. However, he did not have an "experience" problem.
The British press may be a step ahead of our media on this one.
Our media is still stuck in the "historic" story of a black man being elected president.
The UK media got over that and has picked up on the "BO is overwhelmed" theme.
Apparently, many UK press people noticed a very "tired BO" during PM Gordon's visit to the US.
Frankly, I've noticed the same thing.
Gone is "we will heal the planet".
We now get "this is going to be very tough" rhetoric.
Glen Reynolds has this interesting post:
"I have this picture of President Obama sitting in the White House, thinking I hate my job.
He was all about running for President.
What did he really know about being President?
Less than he knows now, that’s for sure."
Yes, it's a thank-less and awful job.
Why do I get the feeling that this president is going to get older a little quicker than his predecessors?
