Pres BO and the Dems love our allies, unless they are Mexico, South Korea or Colombia!
This morning, Pres "Teleprompter Obama" read another speech. It was directed to the people of Iran. (Our Pres BO does not leave home without the teleprompter: Check out Obama’s Crutch — Why Is He So Afraid of Speaking Without a Teleprompter? By John R. Lott, Jr)
Shouldn't he do that one for the people of Mexico?
Question: Why has Mexico been thrown under the bus by Pres Obama and the Dems?
We warned our Mexican friends about protectionism and the anti-NAFTA attitude that dominates the Dem party.
We warned them to listen to candidate Obama when he spoke often against NAFTA or free trade in general.
Get ready for lots of trade wars!
The Dallas Morning News got it right this morning:
"This is serious.
A trade war with Mexico is the last thing cash-strapped American employers need.
Sales will drop, consumer prices will rise, and some companies might shut down when their export markets shrivel.
That means more unemployment and a deepening economic crisis in the short term."
That's right. Trade wars kill jobs!
"This is a function of a protectionist climate in Congress, a lack of leadership in the White House and an open store for special interests, in this case, the Teamsters, who see Mexican trucks as a threat."
We need presidential leadership not more town hall meetings.
"Democrats profess to love our allies — unless they want to trade with us. Mexico joins South Korea and Colombia among friends we are stiffing on trade.
Perhaps if they got together and started an illicit nuclear-weapons program, they would be treated with more solicitude."
