The Obama White House is deeply invested in "change the subject" mode.
Wonder why?
"It would be refreshing if someone big and important stood up to say that policymakers really haven't a clue how to improve the economic and banking crises.
But no one in a position of political authority is apparently willing to do so, least of all the New Masters of the Universe in Washington.
Therefore, the task falls to me.

OK. You got it? He doesn't have a clue.
How could he? He has never managed anything! Not a company! Not an agency! Not a law firm! Not a city, small, medium or large! Not a state!
The British are reporting that Pres BO is overwhelmed:
"Allies of Mr Obama say his weary appearance in the Oval Office with Mr Brown illustrates the strain he is now under, and the president’s surprise at the sheer volume of business that crosses his desk.
A well-connected Washington figure, who is close to members of Mr Obama’s inner circle, expressed concern that Mr Obama had failed so far to “even fake an interest in foreign policy”
The American source said:
“Obama is overwhelmed. There is a zero sum tension between his ability to attend to the economic issues and his ability to be a proactive sculptor of the national security agenda.
“That was the gamble these guys made at the front end of this presidency and I think they’re finding it a hard thing to do everything.” (Hot Air)
Overwhelmed? Again, he has never managed anything. He has never been responsible for anything.

Can you imagine if Pres Bush had brought a TelePrompter to a news conference? Can you imagine if Pres Bush had answered questions by reading from a teleprompter?
To be fair, we are dealing with difficult problems that have been in the making for decades.
The banking crisis, FANNY MAE, FREDDY MAC, the dependency on foreign oil, the entitlement mess, etc, have been around for a long time.
Unfortunately, the Obama campaign, and the "yes we can screamers" who attended the "walk on water" rallies, blamed everything on Bush.
The Obama people led too many voters to believe that it was all Bush's fault, i.e. "hope and change" would actually fix the difficult problems.
So far, the Obama White House is discovering that solutions are a lot more difficult than campaign promises.
So what now? What do you do when you inflated expectations beyond any reasonable point?
You look for quickies, or easy enemies such as Rush Limbaugh! Even Michael Goodwin, hardly a conservative, has noticed: Obama's search for an enemy: The President keep beating the class warfare drum!
"Hope and change" before the election! "Change the subject" today!

The latest "Rush distraction" is what Limbaugh said about Ted Kennedy.
On Friday's program, Limbaugh had pointed out:
The failing health of Senator Kennedy is, as I told you way back when, the driving force here. The failing health of Senator Kennedy is already being used as an inspirational effort, or technique, to get national health care on the fast track" (Baker)
The Obama White House, and their allies in the media, have all concluded that Rush was trying to mock the ailing Kennedy.
He wasn't mocking Kennedy at all.
Like many of us, Rush does not think that we can afford a "health care" entitlement when our federal budget deficits will be 10% of GDP.
Are you kidding me? Disagree with Obama's health care ideas and you want Kennedy dead?
As I posted before, drop Limbaugh and start governing!
Limbaugh is a radio show host.
Rush can't raise taxes or sends troops to Afghanistan. Pres. Obama can!
