Let Pres BO and the Dems own each and every dollar of this proposal!

Unlike the White House and most politicians, Stephen Spruiell & Kevin Williamson have actually read the proposal.

"Here are 50 of the most outrageous items in the stimulus package....

The bill provides $380 million to set up a rainy-day fund for a nutrition program that serves low-income women and children, and $300 million for grants to combat violence against women.

Laudable goals, perhaps, but where’s the economic stimulus?

And the bill would double the amount spent on federal child-care subsidies.

Brian Riedl, a budget expert with the Heritage Foundation, quips, “Maybe it’s to help future Obama cabinet secretaries, so that they don’t have to pay taxes on their nannies.”

Read it. It will make you very angry, specially when you hear Pres. Obama saying that everything will go to heck if the bill doesn't pass.

Here is my favorite line:

"The great French economist Frédéric Bastiat called politics “the great fiction through which everybody endeavors to live at the expense of everybody else.”

We don't usually agree with anything French. However, this fellow Bastiat got it right!

This proposal must be blown up and sent back to square 1!

Unreal Stimulus By INVESTOR'S BUSINESS DAILY:

"Since the president seems to be in a mood to admit his mistakes, we humbly offer one more for him to acknowledge:

His effort to ram most of his spending agenda into a must-do economic stimulus bill is failing."

Kill the Bill by Power Line:

"Public support for the measure has been plummeting as voters have learned what the bill includes.

President Obama is trying to stir up hysteria, arguing that the bill must be passed immediately.

Since the overwhelming majority of spending in the bill won't occur until after 2009, the hurry has more to do with the Democrats' deteriorating political situation than with America's deteriorating economy."

"Republicans are right, both substantively and politically, to oppose this monstrosity and smart to offer a bold alternative.

The GOP's road back is about to be partly paved by Mr. Obama's embrace of Democratic trickle-down economics.

It's terrible policy -- but for Republicans, it provides an opportunity for sharp contrasts that can reset the debate on more favorable terms for the GOP."

Again, this proposal must be voted down.

Pres. Obama and the Dems should own every $900 billion!
