Happy # 75 to Hank Aaron!

From 1954 until 1976, Hank Aaron was one of the best players in baseball.

Aaron played in Mays' shadow.

He didn't really get publicity until he started going up the all-time home run list.

I recall when he hit # 500!

It came as a shock to a lot of people who didn't follow Aaron's career like my bother and did.

I recall the great sandlot debate: Who will break Ruth's record? Mays? Frank Robinson? Aaron? Killebrew?

In 1974, Aaron finally passed Ruth. He did it on national TV. I can still remember the moment. It was a great moment!

Happy birthday Hank Aaron. I hope that you are doing well and in good health!

P.S. A lot of people forget that Aaron had 3,771 hits, the 3rd highest total! Also, he was one of the best defensive right fielders of his era!
