He recorded several hits with The Miracles and later as a solo artist.
He wrote The Temptations' "My girl"! (2nd video below)
The Beatles recorded "You really got a hold on me"!
Smokey was also a principal character in "The Motown Sound" that dominated the pop charts for such a long time.
