We say goodbye to VP Cheney as well. We say farewell to the most consequential VP in recent history.
Cheney retires from a 40 year career in politics. He was a congressman, Chief of Staff for Pres. Ford, Sec of Defense for Pres Bush and Vice President.
I think that we are fortunate to have had such a man at such a critical time.
I just heard that VP Cheney will be writing a book. I can't wait because it will be good!

P.S. Fred Barnes recently met with VP Cheney. This is the VP's message for the Obama team:
"On national security matters, Cheney's advice for the new Obama administration was simple: move cautiously.
Obama should take time to understand exactly what the Bush administration has been doing and whether it has worked before cutting back on presidential authority."
