What are these people at The NY Times going to do when Bush flies back to Texas?

The Bush years have been a disaster for The NY Times.

We understand that people aren't reading newspapers anymore. However, The NY Times seems to have suffered a bit more than most.

It's silly and predictable.

It reads like a 17-year old girl who got dumped a few days before Prom! She bought her dress and shoes but the boy asked another girl!

Dowd goes down the line. It's the predictable tale of anti-Bush stuff!

She writes about how Bush-Cheney violated the US constitution. As Tom Blumer wrote:

"The belief that Bush and Cheney soiled defiled the Constitution with, among other things, the FISA law.

How inconvenient it is that no less than Barack Obama voted to keep FISA in place at crunch time. "

She naturally writes about Iraq:

"The military "chaos" unleashed on the world.

All you need to know on this topic is that the word "Iraq" doesn't appear in Dowd's column.

And how about this: The president-elect, faced with ugly reality, is even getting cold feet about closing Gitmo.

I guess doing that would be a little too chaotic compared to our current circumstances.

Next thing you know, Obama, again realizing the dangers we face, will have a very, very quiet (and more than likely unreported) change of heart about certain interrogation methods."

Wonder when Miss Dowd will unload on Obama for keeping Sec of Defense Gates?

Last, but not least, she writes about Katrina. She forgets to tell her readers (a smaller number week by week) that New Orleans and Louisiana were run by a Dem mayor and governor respectively.

Question: What are these people going to do when it's over?

I guess that they will have to write about Obama.

I can't wait to read Dowd or Rich or Krugman writing about Obama keeping troops in Iraq and not closing GITMO.

The US left is going to miss Bush in ways that they don't understand. In a few days, it will Pres. Obama who will make the tough calls. Let's see what they say about that! Let's see how quickly they say that Obama reminds them of Bush!
