Four years ago, most pundits were writing about the Dems' electoral problems.
They wrote it in the context of Pres. Bush's reelection and Republican pick ups in Congress and the Senate.
Today, we are reading about the demise of the Republican party.
Trust me. Forget the obituaries. Michael Barone is right: No Permanent Majorities in America
What will bring the Republicans back?
Can you say Dem governing? We call it Comedy Central 2009!
Byron York has a comment about Comedy Central:
"For much of the day, Republicans, who haven’t had much to enjoy lately, felt the satisfaction of watching a mess that was completely someone else’s.
“It’s not our problem,” the Republican told me."
Let's enjoy the show from the sidelines. This is not "our problem" and that's a little relief! We need a little break after having a Republican president for 28 of the last 40 years!
Our opponents are now calling the plays.
As we learned during our "majority days", sometime "calling the plays" means that you throw an interception or fumble the ball.
Let me tell you the truth: I haven't had this much fun since the first 2 years of Clinton or the Carter administration! It's kinda of cool being the minority party again!
Dem Comedy Central must include the "race card". No one does it better than Bobby Rush from Chicago. Watch Bobby go for the gold:
