It's final. Hillary Clinton will be nominated for Secretary of State.
This is still a very weird choice. I am not alone.
Kristen Powers, a liberal and Dem, does not get it either:
"The decision infuriates many Obama supporters.
Pulling the lever for Obama was supposed to usher out the Clinton era of baby-boomer entitlement and drama."
Beyond the obvious, (Susan Page's How she'll work with Obama), let me ask another question:
Where is Hillary Clinton's experience?
Yes, Hillary Clinton is a very smart lady who has traveled around.
My question is this: What diplomatic or foreign policy experience does Hillary Clinton have?
Don't tell me that she has been in the US Senate since 2000.
Don't tell me that she took a bunch of friendly trips as First Lady.

Dean Rusk, 1961-69
William P. Rogers, 1969-73
Henry A. Kissinger, 1973-77
Cyrus Vance, 1977-80
Edmund S. Muskie, 1980-81

This is a very impressive list of people with diplomatic experience.
It includes people nominated from Truman to Bush.
How does Hillary Clinton rank on this list? Not real well!
