The Phillies in 7!
This is going to be the best World Series in years. It has the potential to be as great as the 1991 Twins-Braves classic. In '91, the Twins and Braves fought like a couple of heavyweights. The Twins won game 7 in 10 innings.
The Phillies and the Rays represent the new generation of baseball:
"Welcome to the u30ws -- a World Series for the next generation.
Many of the stars of this year's Fall Classic can proudly proclaim, "I Love the 80's," because that's the decade in which they were born.
This is a championship fight that truly caters to the under-30 crowd. " (MLB)
The Rays have some of the best young talent around. Most of them are under 25. The Phillies are a little older but still on the young side of 30.
The Phillies will start Cole Hamels, a young lefthander with great stuff. The Rays' lineup includes Carl Crawford, BJ Upton and Evan Longoria.
Young talent vs young talent.
My pick is The Phillies in 7. Why? I think that closer Brad Lidge will be the tie breaker.
Watch this one. It will be one of the best!
